Based in Furbo, Galway, Wlll Softly, the founder of One World Sounds has been passionate about music and its high fidelity reproduction from a very early age. Now in his fifth decade his dreams have been manifested in a career as a DJ and Funktion One Distributor/Rental agent. During his life he has connected with some of the greatest figures in the professional and domestic audio world inc; Tony Andrews,John Newsham, Dave Martin, Terry Clarke and Jeff Byers,Julian Vereker, Ivor Tiefenbrun John Farlowe, Richard Shahinian to name but a few. They have all inspired him with their products and approach to true high fidelity reproduction. His company offers an exceptional level of experience, quality and passion to the music business in Ireland, both as a very talented DJ and Funktion One distributor. He has been a resident in Ireland nearly 20 years and has represented his company at many major music festivals all over the Emerald Isle. Hallmarks of his trade are meticulous attention to detail from beginning to end coupled with an intense desire to provide customer care.

Wills career in music has spanned over 4 decades. His dj career has spanned many decades in which he has developed a great following for his happy go lucky eclectic sensational sounds from the past 70 years of recorded music . His passion for music has flowered into headline slot at the St Patrick’s Day Treasure Beach festival in Jamaica! During his time on the decks he has supported many great artists Inc. Femi Kuti, Alabama 3, Finley Quaye, Lee Scratch Perry, Emmanuel Jal, Max Romeo, Cian Finn, Michael Franti and Spearhead to name but a few! He is a festival veteran from headline slots at the Festival of World Cultures , Electric Picnic,Soul Kids, Body and Soul, Trenchtown, Caidre Festival Sligo, Connacht Hotel Race Week, Treasure Beach, Ennis Street Festival, Folkfest Killarney, Tread Softly Festival..
Will has now established an enviable reputation as one of the best “all rounders ” in Ireland. Through his encyclopedic knowledge of music from the last 70 years of recorded music he is able to adapt to a huge variety of requirements for any audience. He is available for Birthdays, Special Celebrations, Communions, Festivals and all moments of Celebration. All of his DJ bookings will come with a Funktion One Soundsystem, as used by many of the top Clubs in the world. His knowledge as an engineer of these systems allows a unprecedented level of sound quality. He has approached the Guinness book of records for being listed as the DJ for the oldest client who was Captain Bill Woods of Oranmore Castle Co Galway for his 100th birthday celebrations!

Will Soflty was the DJ at our wedding party hosted in the Chocolate Factory, Kings Inns Street Dublin. Will was in tune with our musical taste from the moment we contacted him, he was open to our selection and improved it with every contact we had with him.
The very minute our party started the dance floor filled and never emptied for the duration of our party. Will caught the mood of our guests and delighted them with the music he played. To quote “every time I wanted to sit another song would start and I couldn’t leave the dance floor all night”. Our party is still spoken about as being the best party with the best dance music by all our guests.
For us Will was much more than a DJ he filled our night with good cheer, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. In essence he made our night and connected with us in such a way that we will never ever forget this special man in terms of what he gave of himself and of his musical talent that night.
